I usually take a few essential oil with me when going on a holiday. This usually helps when upsets occur. As always, its better safe than never. Holidays should be relaxing and adding smooth and relaxing essential oils compliment just that.
Here is some great recipes I've learnt and find them particularly useful. They are easy to make very handy as well.
Jet Lags: When I was a stewardess, I find that flying long distances can be quite taxing on the body. The air up there is rather dry and this is especially bad for our skin. We were always taught to take extra care on our complexion. Some tip when flying up there is to drink plenty of fluids although we should try to avoid excessive alcohol, tea, and coffee.
It is always good to walk around as often as possible and do some exercises the airline often recommends in their in flight videos.
If you suffer from swollen ankles, you can help ease them by massaging the following blend into your ankles, feet, and calves before, during, and after the flight:
5 drops of Geranium
1 tablespoon of vegetable oil
If you get nervous, inhaling a handkerchief that has a few drops of either lavender or geranium helps to relax your emotions and can also allow you to drift off to sleep.
Stomach upsets: I hope not but ff you do suffer from a stomach upset, you have to make sure that you keep yourself well hydrated by drinking plenty of water - adding 1 drop of lemon to this plus a couple of teaspoons of sugar will help.
Another method is to mix either 4-5 drops of lavender, geranium, or ginger to a tablespoon of vegetable oil and massaging this all over your body (especially the stomach area). If possible, have a warm bath thereafter.
I hope this helps and you can really enjoy your holiday whe you are at it. Travelling is most wonderful experience ( that was why I became a stewardess) !
